About

VTA was a project which analysed the archaeological heritage and its increasing role in contemporary society. The growing popularity of the knowledge of the past and archaeological heritage has been a challenge for professionalists working in heritage sector.

The VTA project was an attempt to produce a set of efficient and flexible training tools to be produced in the form that is accessible to the professionalists and addresses well their needs. It was indented that the produced tools enable the professionalists and non-professionalists (e.g. local administration, museum staff, etc.) to get a deeper understanding of the role and significance of archaeological heritage.

The project was selected and co-funded by the European Commission and it was coordinated by Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (- 2010-1-PL1-LEO05-11465). VTA was ran between 1 December and 30 November 2012. It was a continuation of the Lifelong Learning Programme – Leonardo da Vinci II project entitled E-learning as a tool of knowledge transfer in the field of protection and management of archaeological heritage held between 2007 and 2009. VTA aimed to build up a vocational training system in the form of easily adaptable, reusable and user-friendly database of e-learning resources.
