Neolithic Settlements in Kopydłowo
Kopydłowo, site 6. Neolithic settlements from the borderlands of Kuyavia and Greater Poland (Kopydłowo, stanowisko 6. Osady neolityczne z pogranicza Kujaw i Wielkopolski) is a book which discusses the results of excavations conducted at site 6 in Kopydłowo between 1984-1985. The excavations encompassed an area of 3 ares and revealed 62 archaeological features of diversified chronology and functions.
The research presented in the book is the outcome of a multi-disciplinary project whose authors undertook the systematic analysis of the functioning of the Neolithic community from site 6 in Kopydłowo, and its transformations over time. The diversity of archaeological sources which were the subject of these advanced studies allowed for an insight into a range of basic issues connected with the spatial arrangement of the settlement and the changes in the way in which it was used, the diet of the settlement’s inhabitants and the behaviours connected with acquiring and processing food, as well as the patterns of animal herd management and craftsmanship.
