The main objectives of the project were as follows:
- to analyze the settlement sequences at the parts of Catalhöyük East which were excavated by the Poznań Team between 2001 and 2008,
- to prepare a series of specialist analyses of various kinds of the archaeological record (pottery, animal remains, flint and obsidian artefacts, among others) discovered by the Team Poznań,
- to gain a deep understanding of the cause and character of economic changes related to the last phases of Neolithic settlement at Catalhöyük,
- to carry out a chronological analysis of settlement at Catalhöyük East due to a Bayesian statistics that was combine with stratigrafic and architectural ones,
- to deliver reports that discuss in detail various settlement, economic and social issues concerned with the transformations at Catalhöyük East between 7400 and 6500/6400 cal BC.
